With our proprietary widescreen CMOS sensor, the v2512 can acquire and save more than 25 gigapixels-per-second of data. That means at its full megapixel resolution of 1280 x 800, you can achieve greater than 25,000 frames-per-second (fps). At reduced resolution, the v2512 provides frame rates of up to 677,600 fps. It can also be ordered with our unique FAST option (export controlled). The FAST option expands the v2512s versatility by enabling frame rates up to 1,000,000 fps at 128 x 32 resolution, and providing a minimum exposure time of 265ns regardless of framerate or resolution.
The custom-designed sensor has 28 micron pixels and an innovative design to ensure superb light-sensitivity -- essential in ultra-high-speed imaging. Standard 12-bit depth per pixel yields high dynamic range and provides excellent image quality. The camera comes in color or monochrome.
The v2512 is equipped with either 72GB, 144GB or 288GB of high-speed memory that can be divided into up to 63 segments, giving users maximum flexibility. And, minimize cine save times with our Phantom CineMag IV, an option that saves any shot from high-speed RAM to a 1TB or 2TB CineMag in seconds.
The v2512 has the same Ease-of-Use features as all the other members of the Phantom Ultrahigh-Speed Camera line. Common signal connections are conveniently located on its back panel, and include connections for timecode, dual power inputs, HD-SDI, a GPS input, frame synchronization, and trigger. The two HD-SDI ports can act as identical 4:2:2 HD-SDI ports with one port set up to provide an (optional) on-screen display for monitoring the on-camera controls and camera operation. They can also be configured as a single 4:4:4 Dual-Link HD-SDI port.
An internal mechanical shutter allows for automatic and remote black references, ensuring high image-quality even when you can't manually cover the lens prior to a shot.
The camera comes with a Nikon F-mount that also supports G-mount lenses. Or, you can equip it with a Canon EF mount (for remote lens control) or C-mount.
